8/1/2023 0 Comments Input delay smash ultimate![]() This could ruin the game experience of thousands of players, and this could be a huge blow to the competitive scene. If we can't find a way to solve this, Nintendo NEEDS to hear about this. Specially for a game that literally is about timing. It seems to affect a lot of people, and this is not acceptable. This is the only way we can understand where the issue is coming from. I'd like you to say on this thread if you're experiencing the same issue, and if you tried the solutions that I give above. This is different from frame delay, which is caused by the game itself intentionally delaying an input from being performed by a certain amount of time. I didn't really know why at first, and didn't really think much of it, but after a while playing I had to come to the conclusion that it was input lag. Display lag, also known as input lag, refers to the inherent latency between a console producing an output and a monitor screen displaying said output. However, once I did the patch, the controls started to feel off. My own experience validate this theory, since I played the game a little while offline without having made the day 1 patch and everything felt right. ![]() The main theory is the day 1 patch messed up with the controllers one way or an other, since no players complained about it before the game came out. When I'm using Gamecube controllers, dashdancing is difficult, I miss most of my timings, fastfalling feels off. This is NOT placebo : when using Joycons, the game is waaaay quicker to respond, and I feel like I'm playing the real gameplay experience of the game. > I tried all of the above, and it DID NOT fix the issue. Some people just turned off their switch completely, and turned it back on, and they say it fixed the issue. However, I think it does not fix the problem in itself, it just makes it less obvious. Some people changed their stick sensitivity to "high" in the options, and they say it fixed the issue. Some people connected the black usb port of the gamecube adapter on the USB 3 port of the switch, on the back of the dock, and it fixed the issue. Even if they fix it so there is only 100 ms input delay, Smash would still. Some people changed the tv settings to "Gamemode", and it fixed the issue. Nintendo needs to address the terrible lag in their Smash Ultimate matches. Assuming its delay, then your only real option is to input stuff earlier than normal. Its likely due to either the delay or nerves. I start with my combo starter and if it hits then I can proceed with my full combo. The name that'll draw the most eyes immediately is Smash Ultimate superstar Leonardo “MkLeo” Lopez, who'll be vying for the tournament top spot. Rivaling him are plenty of other top Ultimate players including Mr. Honestly, because of the input lag I guess half the time. However, when it’s raising money for a good cause, plenty of players seem happy to put their usual qualms aside to join in the fun and fundraising.Īlong with a $1500 prize pool, the Playing for Pride tournament promises to feature several famous names from the Super Smash Bros.
